The fantastic four fished Sunday and the Roach fishing was very patchy probably due to an over night cold snap and a bucket full of cold rain and temperatures the day before. Mick continued his run of good form not least with the draw bag taking his fav swim peg 4 yet again but this time around a day on the Dace ensued with some nice fish up to 4 oz plus a few, but not as many as usual, Perch for 12lb plus for the win. Breamy fished on peg 2 and did catch Roach just not enough for a nice 9lb net with the quality being good but numbers down on recent weeks.
The rest was us were also rans with Bob taking third on peg 6 with 6lb 4oz pipping my 6lb 1oz from the platform on peg 9 and yes my draw bag experience of late is not great as I would have taken any of the other three pegs but never mind we still all caught. Still good to average 8.5lb per head this late in the season.
Sunday we should be down the Lane but the lack of water and general clarity has meant we will still stay on the Meadow but might try the other end near the rowing club as Bomberdier had 44lb of Roach two weeks ago on that stretch on seed and the water is deeper which might help.
Draw at 7.00 still 6.45 at the gate please fish 8 till 2 and let me or Mick know if you are fishing.
